Nick Viall believes a rose by Bryan Abasolo’s name doesn’t smell too sweet.
Amid Rachel Lindsay’s divorce from the former Bachelorette contestant after four years of marriage, the podcast host is airing out his grievances toward Abasolo.
“It’s getting messy,” Viall said on the Aug. 6 episode of The Viall Files. “I didn’t really want to talk about this out of respect for my friend Rachel. But out of respect for my friend, Rachel, I’ve had enough of Bryan. What the f--k is going on with this guy?”
And the 43-year-old—who tied the knot with Natalie Joy in April—continued to recount his opinion on the former couple’s divorce proceedings.
“Just to be clear,” he explained. “So, first of all, when they got divorced, he decided he wanted to go after his ex-wife, Rachel Lindsay, for spousal support. And then he decided, ‘Well, you should pay for me to sue you.’”
Viall—who first met Lindsay when she competed on his season of The Bachelor in 2017—specifically mentioned the recent court order, which E! News confirmed in July, that binds Lindsay to pay the chiropractor over $13,000 per month in spousal support, as well as $15,000 for legal fees and an additional $5,000 in forensic expert expenses.
“I understand that Bryan, Rachel Lindsay’s ex husband, has simply taken advantage of the very outdated legal system and laws around marriage, sure,” Viall continued. “But it doesn’t stop me from thinking something about you.”
Beyond the legal aspect of Lindsay’s divorce, the Special Forces: World's Toughest Test alum also criticized Abasolo’s public remarks on Lindsay and their relationship.
“She has definitely tried to keep quiet,” he added. “It seems like his side has been leaking more and more and trying to make her look bad. It’s so gross—have some respect for yourself and your ex wife.”
Viall noted, “You sound like a loser, Bryan.”
Indeed, Lindsay has remained relatively tight-lipped on the specifics of her breakup with Abasolo, but she did detail how she’s keeping herself feeling good amid the tribulation.
“My family has come out to see me, I've gone to see my family,” she explained to E! News in June. “I feel completely recharged. It was really good to be around my family and happier times. Normally, I would also turn to work. And I'm not doing that. I'm just allowing people and experiences to heal me.”
E! News has reached out to reps for Abasolo regarding Nick’s comments but has not yet heard back.
